Project: Effectiveness of HIA
Client: WHO European Centre for Health Policy
Review of case studies for this forthcoming pan-European study of the effectiveness of HIA.
Project: External quality assurance of the Co-operation and Working Together (CAWT) HIA Project
Client: CAWT & Southern Health Services Board, Armagh
CAWT operate across the border areas of Northern and Southern Ireland. BCA provided an external quality assurance of their Intereg IIIA funded HIA project. The project had involved capacity building and a pilot HIA. We conducted interviews with project staff and prepared a report suggesting ways forward for the project.
Project: Cost benefit analysis of HIA
Client: Department of Health and the York Health Economics Consortium
Providing expert advice to this project which aims to identify the cost benefit of conducting health impact assessment.
Project: Sustainable Travel Towns
Client: Department of Health
Worked with local and national stakeholders to examine appropriate health input to this DfT funded initiative in Peterborough, Darlington and Worcester.
Project: Children’s Fund: local evaluation
Client: Children’s Fund: Isle of Wight
Developed the evaluation skills of local project teams. Undertook a children-led evaluation programme that used drama, art and performance to enable children to portray their experiences and contribute to the policy-making process.
Project: Staging human rights
Client: People's Palace Project and Ministry of Justice, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Advised on evaluatiing health effects of drama-based human rights programme in prisons and the youth justice system.
